Module Seven: Development of Critical Thinking Introduction True collaborative experiences require that each learner be stretched beyond what they could do alone. This stretching comes through the types of questions that are asked, the expectations for the assignments or products to be created through collaboration, and the materials to be used. As you will soon see however, encouraging critical thinking is EASy! EASy is an acronym for Evaluate, Analyze and Synthesize. Objectives Course participants will:
  • understand and apply specific facilitation techniques to help deepen the thinking of all participants
  • develop questioning strategies to challenge them to look at other sides of issues and to hear the underlying message instead of focusing on the person.
Please select the Background link from the navigation bar for more information about questioning strategies which build critical thinking.
