Professional Biography - E Learning for Educators

Hi, my name is Greg Pratt and I teach economics at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. My teaching takes me from the classroom to the online world as I teach macro and micro economics, international trade and US economic history. Since 1995 I have attempted to effectively use instructional technologies in the classroom and in cyberspace. While not facilitating student learning I enjoy reading, running and resting. I am currently reading Deepak Lal's Reviving the Invisible Hand, a wonderful analysis and application of Adam Smith, Michael Oakeshott's The Voice of Liberal Learning, Frederick Hayek's The Road to Serfdom and the classic On Liberty by JS Mill.

I am very interested in your background and what brings you to E Learning. There is a discussion thread at the bottom of this page that will allow you to share a bit about yourself. Feel free to click on the link and leave a reply.

I teach Macroeconomics and Microeconomics Principles, Economic History of the US and the World Economy and has over twenty-five years experience in education.

I have been a high school teacher and have taught at the community college level since 1984.
