Greg, I'm glad you have this process out from and visible to the world. I think readers will better appreciate the depth of our work together after they have reviewed this final self-assessment.
The only concern I have is with the use of your student's email addresses. Do you have permission to post their email in your wiki? Is this kind of usage covered in your syllabus?
I hope you have a great holiday!

Hi, Your website is great. It does exactly what it says on the tin - eLearning for educators. In my opinion a very impressive and thought out portfolio of work covered. I am persuing a Masters in eLearning in Ireland and I happened upon your site via a google search on eLearning Philosophy statements. I'm very glad I found it,and from the work I've seen on an initial perusal of your site, - THE CERTIFICATE IS IN THE BAG!! Well done and thanks. I've never been to Cleveland but your site ROCKS!!

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. We did find a great deal to recommend wiki as a communication and collaborative tool. For a nice contrast, see how Team 2 used this tool in their work, reflecting the versatility of wiki as a collaborative tool.

HI everyone:
Paul raised a great comment about locating discussion boards for use in class. This is an example of use of wiki to host a discussion forum or board.
Look forward to your comments.

Follow the directions below to compose and post an original posting to this discussion thread. Please reply to at least 2 of your classmates following the directions below. In your replies to your classmates pose a question that cannot be answered with a yes or a no. Finally, make certain you respond to all replies to your original post.
Original posting: Select one topic from objectives 1, 2 or 3. (see the list below for concepts). You will need to select a topic not already discussed. That is, each student will compete an original posting on a diferent topic.
First, describe why this is an important economic topic for the average American to know. Second indicate what you learned about this concept that was new to you and why you believe that this concept is relevant to your life. Third, outline what you think is a major misunderstanding in the general public's mind about this concept.
Select two postings that have few or no replies. As indicated, your reply should respond directly to the original post in a thoughtful manner and include a question that cannot be answered with a yes or a no.
Concepts for your original posting: total savings, private savings, public savings, investment, taxes, government spending, budget surplus, budget deficit, national debt, economic growth, interest rates, the money market, demand for money, supply of money, crowding out, consumption, aggregate demand, aggregate supply, inflation, unemployment.

EDUC 760 made considerable use of discussion during the course of the Fall, 2007 semester.
In your view, how effective has this managed discussion been in advancing your learning and, more importantly, what have you learned about the faciltation of discussion?

Hi everyone:
In EDUC 760 a great deal of time and energy was invested in reflection. This reflection was directive and structured and based upon the following set of guidelines below.
How effective is reflection in your experience as a tool for instruction and feedback? Your reflections might include notes about new ideas, insights, points needing clarification and any frustrations you are feeling about the learning process. It is also appropriate and useful to begin planning how to implement the technologies you are using in your professional practice. A reflective journal is a place to capture your thinking, brainstorm, and well.. reflect. I don't expect formal writing. I'm not looking for what Brookfield calls The Mandated Confessional.
At the end of the course, I will ask you to edit your weekly reflections to create a summary of all your reflections. You will be asked to share this edited journal by posting it in the Module 8 Discussion Forum.
You are urged to create reflections that are meaningful for you. These are just suggestions to help you get started:
* What was most useful to me in my learning process? What was least useful? * Did I achieve my learning objectives in this week? If yes, what did I achieve? * If no, what got in the way of achieving those objectives? * What did I learn about my own learning process during this module? * How did my thinking about teaching change this week? * Do I feel that what I learned in and through this course will have applications in other areas of my life? If so where will I apply this knowledge? * How well did I participate in this week's discussion? Am I satisfied with my level and quality of participation? * Did I see myself as an active member of the group? * How would I evaluate my performance in class this week overall?

I have a difficult time NOT making some contribution to a wiki, as I feel that is the whole point of one. Therefore, Greg, I made it a bit more visually appealing (imho) by separating the list of components of your e-Portfolio from the title. After I did that, I centered the title and then increased its font size. It just seems a bit easier on my eyes now.
And of course, I del.icio.us'ed it! (Will delicious become a verb like google? ;--))
:--)

Wonderful! It is fabulous to have another set of eyes on the wiki and member contributions make for a richer and more developed site.

It's good to see that Wetpaint automatically includes links to del.icio.us, Digg, Blue Dot and StumbleUpon.
I have accounts with each of these services (except Blue Dot). It makes it easier to get your space connected on the net.

Nice! It's great they are so responsive to users. This is a case where the competition in the market (PB Wiki, Wikispaces & Wet paint) really benefits educators.
This is a great space and you're really doing it well!
